HOW TO GET HERE
You can fly into Gove Airport (Nhulunbuy) year-round from Darwin or Cairns, with daily flights serviced through Air North.
Or, if you’re up for an adventure, driving is a great way to see the pristine landscapes of East Arnhem Land from open savannah to red dirt tracks and lush coastal country. A 4WD is strongly recommended, and it’s a good idea to check road conditions before setting out.
Permits are required for visitors entering East Arnhem Land. The type of permit you need depends on where you’re travelling and what you plan to do. Permits are included in tours and packages offered by The Yolŋu Host.
